Hello gals and happy Monday! Welcome back to the first Weekly Updates post of 2018. I love to writing these posts every week and keeping you in the loop about my weekend, things I found, videos, songs etc. This past week went by really fast like always. This weekend we had a date night on Friday and had Mexican food (our favorite) and on Saturday we ran lots of errands including grocery shopping. Sunday we went to church and tried a new restaurant for brunch called Hookline and we loved it. It was so cute in there and gave me all the feels for a beach vacation. This week I have 4 work outs planned, a blog post with my fitness goals, and plan on finishing my current book, The Magic of Thinking Big by David Schwartz which I cannot recommend enough.
Grapefruit Brightening Mask – I put this one on Sunday night and it was amazing.
Charcoal Mask – I have done this one before and I love it too!
Korean Skin Care Peel Off Pack – I bought this for both Raymond and I and they work! After my nose felt super soft.
Adidas Swift Run Sneakers in purple I ordered a 7.5 because they did not have a 7 in stock and they have been sold out forever and I have wanted them for a long time so crossing my fingers that they fit!
Favorite Online Finds
Espadrille Wedge that is perfect for Spring and under $60
Bible Verse of the Week
We are going through the Book of Daniel at our church as part of a “Got Grit?” series and I love it so much. It’s full of courage and faith. 16 Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego replied, “O Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to defend ourselves before you. 17 If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God whom we serve is able to save us. He will rescue us from your power, Your Majesty. 18 But even if he doesn’t, we want to make it clear to you, Your Majesty, that we will never serve your gods or worship the gold statue you have set up.” Daniel 3:16-20
Video of the Week
Raymond and I are really into Ted Talks and I recently heard about Brené Brown and I cannot believe that I had not heard of her before. She is so incredible and all of her books are on my list to read in February and March. I heard her Listening to Shame Ted Talk and it’s eye opening. She is a shame and vulnerability researcher and explains a little bit about what shame is and what it does.
Quote of the Week
Fear kills more dreams than failure ever will. Honestly, I do not know where I heard it first and I don’t exactly know who said, but woah. I posted this on my Insta stories last Thursday and received so many messages from you saying you loved this quote too. It’s a good reminder that fear is a liar and freedom from it is victory.
Song of the Week
Reckless Love by Cory Asbury– Y’all this song has me in tears every.single.time I hear it. So good.
