Happy Spring! I’m so excited for this new season because now that daylight savings is here, I just feel like I have more time to do things when I get home from work because it’s still daylight. Is that just me? During winter, by 6pm it’s already pitch black and when I get home I just want to go to bed (lol, that’s because I’m a total grandma). Like I mentioned in one of my earlier posts this month, we are working on our back patio and adding some decor so we can sit out there in the evenings and have dinner together or drink a glass of wine by the firepit and enjoy the outdoors a little more, I’m sure you noticed that my definition of the ‘outdoors’ is eating dinner in my backyard, HA!
Anywayyyy, I’ve felt so busy these last couple of months that I’m working on refocusing my priorities and rewriting my goals for the rest of the year. I know that we can all get so consumed by the daily routine and live our lives from the outside looking in, if that makes sense. Sometimes I feel like my days go by so fast that I don’t even remember what I did last week. Does anyone else feel like that? Like you’re in a hamster wheel? Running but staying in the same place. My prayer for this next season is to allow God to lead in my everyday life. From when I wake up to when I go to bed, I want to listen to the Holy Spirit and be guided by him and be more aware of what is taking up my time that is not useful. This is my prayer today,
“Let the King of my heart be
The wind inside my sails
The anchor in the waves;
Oh he is my song”
King of my Heart by John Mark McMillan
I made an Easter wreath to go on my coffee bar and a lemon wreath to go on our front door and I’m so excited to share this DIY project that is sooo easy and cheap! I got all my supplies at Hobby Lobby and spent $40 on everything. Here’s a coupon for both Hobby Lobby and Michael’s if you don’t have a Hobby Lobby in your city!
