Wow I cannot believe it’s already November! It’s just wild how time flies I feel like just yesterday the summer was starting and now we are heading into the holiday season (queue the Christmas music…eeeek). I have been focusing a lot on finishing 2018 strong instead of just dismissing these last few months and starting again in January. If you read my last blog post you know that I am doing a challenge called “Last 90 Days Challenge” . Basically we treat the last 90 days of the year with the same excitement and intention as we do January. I feel like I have personally grown so much this year, more than ever before! Turning 25 last December lit a fire under my butt to take on the dreams and goals I have had for a long time more seriously. I can say that I have come a long way these past 10 months and feel really proud of what I have accomplished. These are a few of my goals for November and December that I have started this past January that I am determined to complete by December 31st.
- Reading 24 books (I am on number 17 so I better get going!)
- Running the Turkey Trot (8 miles) and running the Dallas Half Marathon
- Losing my last 7lbs (I’ve lost 10 so far)
- Waking up at 5am every day (Raymond and I are on week 3 of waking up at 5am and it’s been awesome)
- Continue to invest in the girls in my youth group
- Buy myself a gift that I have always wanted
These are just a few of the things that are keeping me motivated lately. Having a deadline of December 31st is a little daunting but at the same time it makes me focus everyday on what I am trying to accomplish. It gives me a sense of ‘every day truly matters’ if I want to see a difference.
Think of some of the goals that you set for yourself in January that you would like to accomplish by the end of the year. It’s not too late friends! You have 60 days to left of 2018. Pick one goal from your 2018 new year’s resolution, and give it your all for the rest of the year and finish strong!
Remember: A year from now you’ll wish you started today.
