Hello, long time no talk! I am back and coming in hot with at least 2 blog posts a week from now until the end of the year. I cannot believe it’s already October. Typing that is kinda weird. This year has flown by but I am so excited to finish strong. I am doing a challenge called Last 90 Days by Rachel Hollis where you set goals for what you want to accomplish before the year ends to build momentum for the new year. Basically you finish your year strong and set yourself up for success for 2019.
I have a pretty hefty list of things that I am working on personally, but my biggest goal is fitness. I have made such incredible progress this year and I am truly so proud of myself for committing to being healthy but I have along way to go. I am running my second 10k (6 miles) in 2 weeks, running the Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving (8 miles), and I am running the Dallas Half Marathon (13 miles) early December. Wowza, wish me luck! I am also eating really well and following Fitness Carli’s 28 day meal plan to help me with my running.
Running has become my therapy and I can honestly say to you that since I started working out and running I am less stressed, depressed and sad. Haha it sounds like I was in a bad place before and honestly I kinda was. I felt mentally drained and my mind felt foggy ALL the time. I felt like I was living my life looking from afar. I had no energy, I was always tired and was physically so weak. Like I said, I’m not where I want to be yet but I am so much further that I was and I am learning to strive for progress and not perfection. I plan on doing an entire blog post on my one year fitness journey later in the year if not in January with everything I have learned and how much my life has changed. Let me know if you want to join me on the Last 90 Days challenge so we can encourage and motivate each other!
I could not be happier that fall is here and in full force. Dallas has gotten significantly cooler and it makes me so happy because Fall is my favorite season! I recently cleaned out my closet and I’ve sold most of my clothes and purchased a couple of things that I am excited to share with you today. I bought a couple of these pieces with the money I made from cleaning out my closet so its a win win. I will show you my process over on Instagram stories sometime this week! There are so many things right know that I am eyeing like this cardigan, this maroon wrap top, and this pink quilted jacket. For now I have narrowed down my top 10 favorite pieces for Fall that I will be able to wear multiple times with different outfits all season long.
10 Favorite Fall Pieces
Purchased: Grey Booties
I am so glad these booties came back
from last year! I didn’t buy them and I was so
disappointed when they were sold out.
I don’t have grey boots or booties so I
thought this would be the perfect pair to
add to my closet.
Purchased: Tan Booties
I am very into the perforated bootie and
this one is so perfect for every day wear.
I love the neutral color and they are
Purchased: Black Boots
These are the best! They are beautiful in
person and well made. I wanted to invest in over
the knee boots but I felt like I liked this
heel better so I went with these knee high
boots. They are the perfect height for more
casual looks but can definitely be dressed
up with a skirt or a dress. This is a good boot
to have and I know they will hold up because
Sam Edelman makes a good shoe.
Purchased: Camo Jacket
Very into this trend. I am normally not
super trendy but I am digging the camo right now.
I opted for a tailored jacket rather than a utility
jacket to fit my style more yet still be on trend.
In my Cart: Plaid Blazer
This is such a good piece. I love that I can still
be trendy and classic at the same time
with this structured plaid blazer. It’s a little pricey so
I am waiting for a sale to happen to snatch it up.
In my Cart: White Sweater
I love winter whites and I really love the
length of this one. It would be perfect under the
camo jacket or my pink leather jacket.
In my Cart: Leopard Heels
Last year I got a pair of leopard booties from
Target and I love them so much. I wore them all the
time and when I saw these I was like yass I need them.
I got both of these to wear under cardigans
and they are made of this soft fabric I don’t
know what it’s called but they are super comfy.
Purchased: Green Jeans
These are perfect for fall.
If you get anything get some army green denim.
They are perfect for the season.
Purchased: Statement Earrings
Love these tortoise earrings. They will be on repeat
when they arrive. They can instantly make any
outfit look cuter.
Thank you for stopping by today friend! Have a wonderful week.
